    The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 212 and 213. * TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from noon today to 8 PM MDT this evening. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon. * WINDS...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts 25 to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent today, and as low as 12 percent on Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire.

A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.     The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued the following... WHAT...Ozone Action Day Alert. WHERE...Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties WHEN...400 PM Monday June 22 to 400 PM Tuesday June 23 IMPACTS...Ozone Action Day Alert is now in effect for the Front Range Urban Corridor. Elevated levels of ozone are possible throughout the northern Colorado Front Range on Monday and Tuesday, including Denver, Fort Collins, and Greeley. The highest concentrations are most likely for locations in the southern and western portions of the Denver Metro area. For Colorado air quality conditions, forecasts, and advisories, visit: https://www.colorado.gov/airquality/colorado_summary.aspx If possible, please help us reduce ozone pollution by limiting driving gas and diesel-powered vehicles until at least 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Colorado is also addressing ozone pollution through state policies.
