Maximum wind gusts: easterly 60 to 80 km/h Tuesday. Maximum wind gusts: westerly 80 to 90 km/h Tuesday night.
Locations: parts of southern and eastern Newfoundland.
Time span: this evening until Tuesday night.
Remarks: The snow will combine with strong easterly to northeasterly winds to cause poor visibility in snow and blowing snow overnight tonight and Tuesday morning.
Over the Burin Peninsula, visibility is expected to improve on Tuesday morning as the snow changes to ice pellets or freezing rain. Conditions will once again deteriorate in the afternoon as precipitation transitions back to snow and combines with strong winds to cause poor visibility in snow and blowing snow.
