Danger to navigation at sea, and danger to life from large waves/beach material being thrown onto coastal routes. Damage to coastal infrastructure (e.g. walkways, property, road and rail routes). Disruption of small harbours and ports. Risk to medium/large vessels of dragging anchor/breaking mooring lines. Disruption to beachfront activities is also possible.

Be aware of large unpredictable waves along the coast. Small vessels are advised to seek shelter in harbours, bays or inlets. Be aware of strong rip currents especially during spring tides.
