At 13:30 on May 20, 2026, Yushu Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for lightning: it is expected that from 16:00 on May 20 to 22:00 on May 20, Yushu City, Longbao Town, Luolaxiu Town, Batang Township, Zhongda Township, Shanglaxiu Township, Anchong Township, and Xiaosumang Township may experience lightning activity, which may cause lightning disasters, accompanied by thunderstorms, strong winds, hail and other weather conditions in some areas. Relevant departments and personnel are requested to be prepared for prevention.

Stop outdoor activities such as harvesting cordyceps and hiking, and suspend outdoor facilities in parks, amusement parks, and other outdoor places; 3. They should not stay on mountaintops, ridges, rooftops, waterfront areas, or open spaces. They should not use mobile phones and should not hold metal objects upside down in their hands or carry them on their shoulders.
