The quake may have been felt in Taumarunui, Turangi, Ohakune, Mokau, Te Kuiti, Taupo, Stratford, Taihape and surrounding localities.
5 km south of Taumarunui, 45 km west of Turangi, 50 km north of Ohakune, 60 km south-east of Mokau, 70 km south of Te Kuiti, 75 km west of Taupo, 90 km north-east of Stratford, 90 km north-west of Taihape
