...Warm, Dry and Windy Conditions Expected Tuesday...
.Dry conditions will continue across the region on Tuesday as westerly winds increase to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon, with frequent gusts over 35 mph. The winds, combined with continued very dry conditions will allow for the rapid spread and growth of any fires.
The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 002 Rawlins, 003 Decatur, 004 Norton, 013 Sherman, 014 Thomas, 015 Sheridan, 016 Graham, 080 Hitchcock, 081 Red Willow and 253 Kit Carson.
* TIMING...From Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.
* WINDS...Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.
* IMPACTS...Unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control.

.Dry conditions will continue across the region over the next several days. Today, winds from the northwest will increase to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon, with gusts around 35 mph. The winds, combined with continued very dry conditions will allow for the rapid spread and growth of any fires. Wednesday, RH values are forecast to drop into the low to mid teens as westerly winds gust around 25 to 30 MPH.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 002 Rawlins, 013 Sherman and 253 Kit Carson.
* TIMING...From Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.
* WINDS...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 11 percent.
* IMPACTS...Unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control.
