Rain, at times heavy, continues.

What and When: - 30 mm of additional rainfall today

Where: - Central Coast - south of Bella Bella near Rivers Inlet

Impacts: -Prolonged heavy rain on snow combined with mountain snow melt will lead to very enhanced responses in river systems and potential for flooding. -Extensive water pooling on roads and washouts may occur. -Enhanced risk of landslides due to saturation of landscapes.

Additional information: An atmospheric river will remain over the Central Coast south of Bella Bella, near Rivers Inlet, today bringing heavy rain. Snow levels have risen, peaking at 2500 metres resulting in mountain snow melt.

An additional 30 mm of expected over the Central Coast south of Bella Bella, near Rivers Inlet, before the rain eases later this afternoon.

Localized flooding is likely. Some roads may become impassable. Landslides may occur in vulnerable areas such as steep slopes, deforested areas or recent burn scars.
