* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following areas, Brooks, Cameron Island, Coastal Cameron, Coastal Kenedy, Coastal Willacy, Inland Cameron, Inland Kenedy, Inland Willacy, Jim Hogg, Kenedy Island, Northern Hidalgo, Southern Hidalgo, Starr, Willacy Island and Zapata. * WHEN...Through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Along with heavy rain previously fallen, more heavy rainfall may produce up to 2 inches, with pockets of 5 inches or more possible. At 346 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm capable of producing a waterspout 10 miles south of South Padre Island, moving north at 40 mph. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... South Padre Island, Port Isabel City Hall, U.s. Coast Guard Station, Port Isabel Lighthouse, Beach Access Four, Port Isabel High School, Port Isabel Fire And Police Department, South Padre Island Convention Center, Garria Elementary School, and Boca Chica Beach.

At 326 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 19 nm east of Laguna Madre, moving north at 10 knots.
