* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Atascosa, Bastrop, Caldwell, De Witt, Dimmit, Fayette, Frio, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Karnes, Lavaca, Lee, Maverick, Wilson and Zavala. * WHEN...Through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...There is a potential for life threatening flooding across the Flood Watch area. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Very humid tropical air and a slow moving front will result in heavy rain. San Antonio River near Floresville affecting Wilson and Karnes Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...San Antonio River near Floresville. * WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon to early Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...At 27 feet flood waters begin to impact lower portions of Floresville City Park. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 4.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 21.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 8.5 feet late this evening. It will then fall to 8.2 feet just after midnight tonight. It will rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon to 30.8 feet early Wednesday morning.
