Wave heights of 6 to 8 feet or higher, a swell period reaching 8 seconds, and a northeast swell direction ensures dangerous rip currents through Monday. Though weather conditions are poor Sunday afternoon and fair to poor Monday, surf temperatures in the 70s are sufficient for some to attempt venturing into the water.
