    * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central New York, including the following counties, Columbia, Greene and Rensselaer. * WHEN...Until 515 AM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 519 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 5 and 11 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Troy, East Greenbush, Rensselaer, Hudson, Chatham, Nassau, Claverack, New Baltimore, Coxsackie, Valatie, Athens, Castleton-On-Hudson, Philmont, Kinderhook, Lorenz Park, Claverack-Red Mills, West Sand Lake, Averill Park, Wynantskill and Wyantskill. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 721 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicates that between 5 and 9 inches of rain has fallen in the warned area. Flooding is ongoing and expected to continue into tonight. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area through tonight. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
