    ...BLIZZARD CONDITIONS CONTINUE TONIGHT... .Although snow tapers off late this evening into the early overnight, strong wind gusts will continue to result in significant blowing and drifting of snow keeping visibility degraded with white-out conditions at times, especially in rural and open areas. Travel will remain dangerous if not impossible at times. * WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 55-60 mph. * WHERE...All of central Iowa. * WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. Strong winds could cause tree damage.

    * WHAT...Very cold wind chills from 20 to 30 below. * WHERE...Portions of western and northern Iowa. * WHEN...Until 10 AM CDT this morning. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds and wind gusts have ended. The wind will continue to be gusty from the northwest with gusts up to around 45 MPH for a few more hours before decreasing further by midday.
