    Yellow watch - severe thunderstorm - in effect Locations: Portions of western Saskatchewan, including the Yellowhead Highway corridor from North Battleford to the Alberta border. Hazards: Large hail and strong, gusty winds. Timing: This afternoon and evening. Remarks: Thunderstorms, some of which may become severe, are expected to develop this afternoon across Alberta and near the Saskatchewan border and move northeast through the evening. The risk of severe weather should lessen as the evening goes on. ### Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
