Yellow watch - severe thunderstorm - in effect Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail. Hazards: Wind gusts up to 90 km/h. Quarter to ping pong ball size hail. Risk of a tornado. Timing: This evening into tonight. Additional information: Thunderstorms will continue to affect the region this evening. Some storms could become severe with strong winds and large hail possible. Conditions may become favourable for some storms to produce tornadoes, but confidence in the tornado threat is low. ### Local utility outages are possible. Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles. Large hail can cause significant damage and injury. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
