THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 362 IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN KANSAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 11 COUNTIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS BUTLER COWLEY IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS ALLEN CHAUTAUQUA ELK GREENWOOD LABETTE MONTGOMERY NEOSHO WILSON WOODSON THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ANDOVER, ARKANSAS CITY, AUGUSTA, CEDAR VALE, CHANUTE, COFFEYVILLE, EL DORADO, EUREKA, FREDONIA, GRENOLA, HOWARD, HUMBOLDT, INDEPENDENCE, IOLA, LONGTON, MADISON, MOLINE, NEODESHA, PARSONS, ROSE HILL, SEDAN, WINFIELD, AND YATES CENTER.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Allen, Greenwood and Woodson. * WHEN...From 1 AM CDT Sunday through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Complex of storms will move out of central KS late tonight and will linger through Sunday morning. Storms will produce high rainfall rates that may lead to flooding.
