In March, spring flooding continues; floodplains and low-lying areas are inundated in the Lielupe River basin and in river basins in the eastern part of the country. Ice movement continues on some rivers. BE AWARE of the potentially flood-prone areas! The environment is already overly humid, water is accumulating in the fields and in the lower depressions, low-lying areas on the banks of water bodies are flooded. Caution should be exercised when moving in flood-prone areas. More information on hydrological conditions is available at hidro.meteo.lv.
