In central Illinois, Livingston. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are already elevated, increasing the risk of flooding due to additional rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A slow moving weather system may bring additional periods of heavy showers and embedded thunderstorms which may lead to localized flooding. Portions of the Flood Watch have already received 2 to locally 4 inches of rainfall and are more susceptible to renewed flash flooding if and where additional heavy rain occurs through early this evening. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Little Calumet River at Munster (Hohman Avenue) affecting Cook and Lake IN Counties. For the Little Calumet River...including South Holland, Munster (Hohman Avenue)...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Little Calumet River from IN-912 in Hammond downstream to confluence with Thorn Creek in South Holland, including the Munster (Hohman Avenue) gauge. * WHEN...Until Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, Most areas outside of the levee-protected area are inundated in Hammond and Munster. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 11.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 12.5 feet this evening. Southern Kendall County in northeastern Illinois... Northwestern Will County in northeastern Illinois... Northern Lake IN County in northwestern Indiana... Northern Porter County in northwestern Indiana... * WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 509 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that light to moderate rainfall was occurring in areas where heavy rainfall occurred a few hours ago. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in the past 3 to 6 hours. - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
