Area creeks and streams are already elevated, increasing the risk of flooding due to additional rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A slow moving weather system may bring additional periods of heavy showers and embedded thunderstorms which may lead to localized flooding. Northern Kendall County in northeastern Illinois... Northwestern Will County in northeastern Illinois... * WHEN...Until 515 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. High water may recede slowly from flooded areas. Area creeks and streams are already elevated, increasing the risk of flooding due to additional rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 244 PM CDT, Doppler radar, automated rain gauges, and various reports indicate that minor flooding continues in the advisory area as a result of heavy rain earlier this morning. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. - Heavy rain showers will move over some of the advisory area through late afternoon and may result in renewed flooding. Be prepared for potential new flood advisories or warnings. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
