    ...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED IN THE SOUTHERN WILLAMETTE VALLEY MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING DUE TO DRY CONDITIONS AND NORTHERLY WINDS UP TO 25 MPH... ...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS POSSIBLE IN THE WESTERN COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING DUE TO DRY CONDITIONS AND INCREASING EASTERLY WINDS... The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 1 PM to 8 PM PDT Monday. * AFFECTED AREA...In Oregon, Fire Weather Zone 685 Southern Willamette Valley. * WINDS...North 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 to 25 percent. * IMPACTS...Conditions may be favorable for rapid fire spread which may threaten life and property. Use extra caution with potential ignition sources, especially in grassy areas. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

    * WHAT...Afternoon high temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees and morning low temperatures of 60 to 65 degrees expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Oregon and southwest Washington. * WHEN...From noon Tuesday to 11 PM PDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wildfire smoke is expected to increase west of the Cascades early in the week, which may limit high temperatures by approximately 1-3 degrees. However, temperatures will still be hot enough to bring an increased risk of heat-related illnesses even if temperatures are dampened a few degrees from smoke.
