Platte River near Platte City affecting Platte County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Platte River near Platte City. * WHEN...From Friday afternoon to Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Cropland near State Highway 92 near Platte City begins to flood. At 22.0 feet, Flooding occurs at Humphreys Access Area which is located 5 miles downstream from Platte City. 300 acres of pasture are also flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 3.6 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 7.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall to 7.3 feet tomorrow evening. It will rise above flood stage Friday afternoon to 22.7 feet early Sunday morning.
