    * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of central and northeast Illinois, including the following areas, in northeast Illinois, Central Cook, DuPage, Eastern Will, Grundy, Kendall, Northern Cook, Northern Will, Southern Cook and Southern Will. In central Illinois, Livingston. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are already elevated, increasing the risk of flooding due to additional rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A slow moving weather system may bring additional periods of heavy showers and embedded thunderstorms which may lead to localized flooding. Portions of the Flood Watch have already received 2 to locally 4 inches of rainfall and are more susceptible to renewed flash flooding if and where additional heavy rain occurs through early this evening. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 542 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated moderate rainfall ongoing in an area where heavy rainfall occurred earlier. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen thus far. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
