...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT /7 PM MDT/ THIS EVENING DUE TO WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST AND SOUTHWEST NORTH DAKOTA... ...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT MONDAY DUE TO WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR SLOPE AND BOWMAN COUNTIES... ... .Critical fire weather conditions are expected today through early this evening across much of western North Dakota. A cold front will move into western North Dakota by early afternoon, shifting winds from south to northwest around 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Humidity is expected to fall as low as 10 to 15 percent this afternoon. In the southwest corner of the state, humidity is only projected to recover to around 45 percent overnight, then fall as low as 20 percent on Monday as north winds increase to around 25 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Therefore, the Red Flag Warning remains in effect through early Monday evening for Slope and Bowman Counties. * AFFECTED AREA...Much of western North Dakota. * TIMING...Until 8 PM CDT /7 PM MDT/ this evening. * WINDS...South winds shifting to the northwest around 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 to 15 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly.
