Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is advising that the Surface Water Monitoring Centre, Ministry of Natural Resources is forecasting that on Saturday (today) a low-pressure system is expected to bring 15-25 mm of rainfall to the Credit River Watershed. Furthermore, convective activity may result in an additional 5-10 mm of rainfall. Residual precipitation of up to 5 mm is forecasted for Sunday (tomorrow) and Monday. Flooding of the Credit River and its major tributaries is not expected. However, water levels are elevated in some parts of the watershed due to recent rainfall, and minor flooding may occur in the headwaters and low-lying areas as a result of the forecasted rain. Local streams and rivers could become dangerous, especially in the vicinity of culverts, bridges, and dams. Children should be warned to stay away from all watercourses. CVC will continue to closely monitor weather and water levels in the watershed. The Watershed Conditions Statement for Flood Outlook will be in effect through April 6, 2026 (Monday) or until further notice.
