Storms with heavy rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour may occur during the afternoon and evening then another batch of showers with light to moderate rates is expected during the overnight hours. The Flood Watch will expire for portions of central, north central, and northwest New Mexico, including the following areas, in central New Mexico, South Central Mountains. In north central New Mexico, Far Northwest Highlands and Northwest Highlands. In northwest New Mexico, Chuska Mountains and Northwest Plateau. Another Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the area Thursday.
