    special weather statement in effect

    از: 15/03/2026, 09:47
    به: 16/03/2026, 01:47

Snow followed by freezing rain and rain, a short period of very mild temperatures, and then a rapid freeze is expected. Locations: Labrador. Time span: Monday through Tuesday night. Remarks: Snow is expected to start in the west during the day Monday then spread across Labrador Monday night, transitioning through ice pellets and freezing rain to rain as temperatures quickly rise above freezing on Tuesday. Afternoon highs could exceed 10 degrees over central Labrador. After this brief warmup, temperatures will fall sharply Tuesday night, resulting in a rapid freeze of standing water. The heaviest snowfall is likely to occur over western Labrador, while the heaviest rainfall is expected near the Strait of Belle Isle. This combination of snow, freezing rain, and rain could create difficult travel, icy surfaces, localized flooding from snowmelt, and slippery conditions as standing water rapidly refreezes. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or post reports on X using #NLwx.
