Yellow watch - severe thunderstorm - in effect This afternoon and evening, conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, hail and torrential downpours. Nautical activities may be hazardous due to sudden, severe wind gusts over bodies of water. ### Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 7:51 PM UTC, Environment Canada meteorologists are monitoring severe thunderstorms that can produce damaging gusts, hail up to the size of a dime, and very heavy rain. These thunderstorms are located between Matagami and Waskaganish and could affect the Billy-Diamond Highway. ### Driving conditions will likely be difficult.
