    FFWLIX The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Pike County in southern Mississippi... * Until 915 PM CDT. * At 604 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mccomb, Magnolia, Summit and Mccomb Airport. This includes the following Interstate... Interstate 55 in Mississippi between mile markers 14 and 21.

    At 559 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Tylertown to near Gloster. Movement was southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Mccomb, Bogalusa, Franklinton, Liberty, Greensburg, Amite, Amite City, Magnolia, Kentwood, Summit, Tylertown, Roseland, Gloster, Osyka, Montpelier, Smithdale, Enon, Darlington, Mount Herman, and Wilmer. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 44 and 66. Interstate 55 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 24.

    • East Feliciana; St. Helena; Washington; East Baton Rouge; Northern Tangipahoa; Northern St. Tammany; Central Tangipahoa; Amite; Pike; Walthall; Pearl River
    • If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
