Heavy rainfall continues across west-central, southwest, and south-central Minnesota. Slow moving thunderstorms are forecast to generate widespread rainfall amounts of two to four inches, while more localized amounts of greater than 6 inches are likely within the band of heaviest rainfall. Flash flooding is possible where these higher-end amounts occur, especially in low-lying areas & areas of steeper terrain near near creeks and streams. Between 3.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...The pubic reported over 4 inches of rain fell in some spots, and radar indicated additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches possible this morning.
