Many areas west of the Rio Grande have received a half inch up to 2 inches of rainfall over recent days, so any additional rainfall could lead to flash flooding. High soil moisture will allow runoff to occur quickly with any additional rounds of rain. Thunderstorms are expected to track north across the Watch area Thursday night into Friday morning, leading to localized flash flooding.
