Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from US-41 in Gurnee downstream to Townline Road in Vernon Hills, including the Gurnee gauge. * WHEN...Until late Friday night. * IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Forest land inundated near the river in Gurnee. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 7.8 feet early Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday evening. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
