Flood Watch for North Kimberley Rivers

    Alkaen: 25.03.2026, 11:51
    To: 26.03.2026, 17:51

FLOODING POSSIBLE FOR PARTS OF THE CENTRAL WEST AND SOUTH WEST COASTAL CATCHMENTS Tropical Cyclone Narelle is intensifying while moving west southwest roughly parallel to the Pilbara coast. Tropical Cyclone Narelle is expected to remain offshore and track to the South West over Wednesday and Thursday before recurving back towards the coastline on Friday. The system is currently forecast to make landfall early on Saturday. Tropical Cyclone Narelle is forecast to bring widespread moderate with locally heavy rainfall across parts of the Central West and South West coastal catchments from Thursday. Although the risk of heavy rainfall across the North Kimberley and West Kimberley has eased and no further flooding is expected, flood impacts may continue for the next few days. Many roads may remain affected and some communities may remain isolated for some time. River and creek level rises, prolonged overland flooding and ponding are possible across the Flood Watch area from Thursday. Roads may be affected, and some communities may become isolated. Check road conditions before travelling.
