River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Louisiana. * WHEN...From this evening to Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, The first quarter mile of Edison Avenue beyond the railroad tracks begins flooding near this height. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 15.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM CDT Friday was 15.3 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 15.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall Monday evening. It will rise to 15.7 feet early Wednesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
