    • Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

For the second Heat Advisory, temperatures up to 101 expected. * WHERE...Middle Rio Grande Valley including the Albuquerque Metro Area, Sandia and Manzano Mountains including Edgewood, Northwest Plateau, and Espanola Valley. * WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 8 PM MDT this evening. For the second Heat Advisory, from noon to 8 PM MDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The hottest temperatures in the low 100s will be along the San Juan and Rio Grande River Valleys. Record high temperatures are expected.
