At 1214 AM CDT...A strong thunderstorm was located 27 nm southeast of Farewell Buoy...moving north at 10 knots. Locations impacted include... Gulf Shores Beach, Sand Island Lighthouse, and Perdido Pass. The primary threats from this storm are wind gusts up to 30 knots... locally higher waves...and heavy downpours. Boaters should consider seeking safe harbor until this storm has passed. Weather conditions support the development of waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous waves and seas. If a waterspout is sighted...seek safe harbor immediately.
