* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 9 to 12 feet at Palau and Chuuk, and 11 to 14 feet at Yap. * WHERE...North facing reefs of Palau, Yap and Chuuk. * WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Due to strong winds around a low pressure system near Japan, significant northerly swell continues to build across western Micronesia, generating 9 to 12 foot surf, likely reaching 14 ft at Yap tonight. Long-period northeasterly swell continues to produce hazardous surf along north-facing reefs at Chuuk, then as the low pressure system moves eastward, north- northwesterly swell will build into Chuuk Monday night.
