Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rain is expected to develop across the region Monday through Monday night ending Tuesday Morning. Widespread totals of 1 to 1.5 inches of rain are anticipated with locally higher amounts of 2 to 2.5 inches possible in the southern upslope of the Longfellow Mountains and across the Downeast. Increasing runoff and ice rot will lead to ice movement on area rivers and streams creating an elevated risk of ice jam flooding. - For flood safety visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood
