Yellow advisory - frost - in effect Conditions are favourable for the development of frost tonight. Locations: parts of central, western, and southern Newfoundland. Minimum temperatures: -3 to +3 (coolest in low-lying areas). Time span: overnight tonight to early Saturday morning. Remarks: Frost is expected to form as clear skies and light winds coincide with cool temperatures, especially in low-lying areas. Temperatures may remain warmer along parts of the coast which could inhibit frost formation. ### Damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible. Frost advisories are issued when widespread frost or freezing temperatures are expected during the growing season. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
