Maximum wind gusts: easterly 60 km/h Tuesday. Maximum wind gusts: westerly 80 to 100 km/h Tuesday night.
Locations: parts of southern and eastern Newfoundland.
Time span: Monday evening until Tuesday night.
Remarks: The snow will combine with strong easterly winds to cause poor visibility in blowing snow overnight Monday night into Tuesday morning. The snow will likely transition through ice pellets and freezing rain to rain on Tuesday as temperatures rise above zero. A second period of poor visibility in blowing snow is expected Tuesday night as temperatures fall and precipitation changes back to snow.
