High-energy, long period north-easterly swells are expected to produce large breakers resulting in occasional deterioration of nearshore conditions along northerly and northeasterly coastal regions. To a lesser extent conditions may extend to north-facing coasts in the Gulf of Paria. Maximum impacts are expected during high tides. Potential impacts include the disruption of nearshore activities (including swimming, fishing and boat mooring) along with sand displacement and salt-water intrusion.
