In addition, lightning activity across northern New mexico on Sunday will occur with little wetting precipitation, increasing the chances for new fire ignitions. The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM MDT Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AREA AND TIMING...Rio Grande Valley (Zone 106), Sandia and Manzano Mountains (Zone 124), West Central Mountains, Basin, and Range (Zones 105 and 109) Sunday from noon to 8 PM MDT. * 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest to west at 25 to 40 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph. The strongest gusts will be over the mountains. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values of 10 to 15 percent, except up to 20 percent along the continental divide, and over 20 percent in the Chuska Mountains. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
