For the Rock River...including Rockton, Latham Park, Rockford (Auburn Street), Byron, Dixon...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and forecast to continue. * WHERE...Rock River from Swanson Road in Roscoe downstream to Shorewood Park in Loves Park, including the Latham Park gauge. * WHEN...Until early Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 10.5 feet, Low-lying sections of Shore Drive are threatened between Wilson Avenue and Park Road in Machesney Park. Water overflows low-lying river banks along East Drive in Loves Park. Low-lying areas of Martin Memorial Park are inundated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to only gradually fall through next week and will likely remain above flood stage through the middle of next week. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
