Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 755 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to Runoff from recent heavy rain will lead to flooding of low- lying spots, urban areas, small streams and creeks and poor- drainage areas. The threat for heavy rain has ended, but runoff will delay fall of water levels and improvement in conditions. . Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cedar Rapids, Anamosa, Vinton, Marengo, Mechanicsville, Stanwood, Marion, Hiawatha, Mount Vernon, Robins, Belle Plaine, Center Point, Lisbon, Fairfax, Solon, Ely, Atkins, Walford, Springville and Palo. - This includes Interstate 380 between mile markers 8 and 36.

Water affects low lying agricultural land along the river * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.7 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 15.4 feet overnight. It will then fall below flood stage Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
