    ...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Iowa... English River at Kalona affecting Washington and Johnson Counties. .Additional rainfall from today through Monday night is expected to be considerably lighter than what fell Thursday through Saturday night. This helps provide higher confidence in these river forecasts. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...English River at Kalona. * WHEN...Until Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, water has overtopped roads causing closures. This includes 130th St, Kiwi Ave, Orange Ave and Poplar Ave. Extensive agricultural land near the river is flooded. Water begins backing into town on the north side of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 17.6 feet and slowly rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.1 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

    * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Southern Cedar County in east central Iowa... Iowa County in east central Iowa... Johnson County in east central Iowa... Muscatine County in east central Iowa... Keokuk County in southeastern Iowa... Northwestern Louisa County in southeastern Iowa... Washington County in southeastern Iowa... * WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations continues. Streams remain high or just over their banks to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1154 AM CDT, Trained weather spotters reported creeks over their banks in northwest Louisa and western Muscatine Counties. Between 2.5 and 5 inches of rain fell over much of the warned area yesterday and Sunday morning. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Iowa City, Muscatine, Washington, Tipton, Marengo, West Branch, Sigourney, Columbus Junction, Durant, Coralville, North Liberty, West Liberty, Williamsburg, Wilton, Kalona, Tiffin, Wellman, Lone Tree and University Heights.
