Wintry weather is expected this weekend. Locations: Connaigre, and Burgeo - Ramea. Snowfall (tonight into Saturday morning): 10 to 15 cm, with locally higher amounts possible. Snowfall (Sunday night): 5 to 10 cm. Rainfall (later Sunday night): 10 to 20 mm. Remarks: Two weather systems will bring wintry weather this weekend. The first, occuring tonight, will bring generally steady snowfall before tapering off Saturday morning. The second system, affecting the region Easter Sunday night, will bring snow followed by a period of ice pellets and freezing rain before changing to rain as temperatures rise. The rain may be heavy at times overnight in some areas before tapering off by Monday morning. Snow and ice accumulations may make travel slow or hazardous. Rain and melting snow can result in pooling of water. Roads and walkways may become slippery and difficult to navigate.
