Rain, heavy at times is expected. The ground, already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further rainfall. What: Heavy rain with total amounts 30 to 50 millimetres expected. When: Late Saturday morning into Sunday morning. Additional Information: A second low pressure system is expected to bring significant rainfall to the region on Saturday. Rain will be heavy at times and local amounts may be enhanced by brief thunderstorms. Brief freezing rain may precede the arrival of the rain. Due to the saturated ground and prior rain events the rain on Saturday may cause hazardous conditions due to extreme runoff.
