Yellow watch - severe thunderstorm - in effect Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Locations: Portions of southeastern Manitoba. Timing: This afternoon and evening. Hazards: Large hail and strong, gusty winds. Remarks: Thunderstorms, some of which may become severe, are expected to develop over southern Manitoba this afternoon and track east through the evening. The threat for severe weather will diminish late this evening. ### Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
