The National Weather Service in Sterling, Virginia has activated the SKYWARN amateur radio network for Tornado Watch number 67. Severe thunderstorms will be capable of producing tornadoes, damaging wind gusts,and hail. Weather spotters are encouraged to relay any severe storm impacts to the National Weather Service in Sterling, Virginia.

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. * WHERE...Cecil, Northern Baltimore, Northwest Harford, Southeast Harford, and Southern Baltimore Counties. * WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 10 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...In addition to these strong southerly winds, thunderstorms will increase in coverage through the afternoon and evening, some of which may require Severe Thunderstorm Warnings. An abrupt wind shift to westerly winds occurs late this evening in response to a strong cold front.

* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Southeast Harford County. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to midnight EDT tonight, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 4.5 feet, portions of the Havre de Grace Yacht Basin are flooded, along with Hutchins Park. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two and a half to three feet above normal. The next high tide at Havre de Grace is at 9:08 AM and 9:00 PM.
