    The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Red Flag Warning for thunderstorms and strong outflow winds, which is in effect from 5 AM to 9 PM PDT Thursday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * Affected Area...Fire Zone 136 Sierra (El Dorado-Amador) Above 5000 ft and Fire Zone 139 Sierra (Cal-Tuo) Above 5000 ft. * Thunderstorms...Isolated to scattered coverage of a mix of wet and dry thunderstorms expected. Lightning strikes may also occur outside of main precipitation cores. * Outflow Winds...Gusty and erratic outflow winds could occur near any thunderstorm development. * Impacts...Lightning can create new fire starts and may combine with strong outflow winds to cause a fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity.

    * CHANGES...None. * Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 272 Greater Lake Tahoe and Truckee Area. * Thunderstorms...Thunderstorm chances increase to 15 to 30 percent for Thursday leading to lightning strikes on dry fuels especially early Thursday morning. Thunderstorms will produce hail and periods of moderate to heavy rainfall Thursday afternoon and evening. * Outflow Winds...Up to 40 mph. * Impacts...Lightning can create new fire starts and may combine with strong outflow winds to cause a fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first responders can contain them.
