There is a slight chance of thunderstorms on Thursday as well, which could produce briefly higher rain rates, increasing the risk of flash flooding.

Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Rain was falling at a rate of 0.5 to 1.5 inch per hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kapaau, Honokaa, Paauilo, Ookala, Kukuihaele, Waipio Valley, Laupahoehoe, Kamuela, Waimanu Valley, Ninole, Hakalau and Honomu.
