Wind prone locations along US-395 and I-580, including Washoe Valley, may see gusts up to 80 mph. * WHERE...Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area. * WHEN...Until 11 AM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds may knock down burned trees in the Davis Fire burn area.

Then for Wednesday-Thursday morning, 4-8 inches west of Highway 89 with 6-12 inches along the Sierra crest. 1 to 3 inches possible at lake level. Sierra valley gusts of 45 to 55 mph. Wave heights on Lake Tahoe from 3 to 6 feet. 100 mph gusts on the ridgetops. * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area. * WHEN...Until 8 AM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
